A few names she has sat with include, but are not limited to,
Grammy-award winning artist PJ Morton; Janae talked with the Maroon 5 keyboardist about his album, Gumbo and his performance at the Essence Music Festival.
Another entertaining conversation featured New Orleans Funk Master and pianist, Jon Cleary. He talked with Janae about his album “Go Go Juice,” his love for the city and more!

One of Janae's favorite's was with the legendary poet, professor and activist Nikki Giovanni. Just months before her death, Janae met Giovanni on a zoom call to discuss her documentary, Going To Mars: The Nikki Giovanni Project. Giovanni reflects on the legacy of Black storytelling, gospel music, what she describes as original libraries, and why she’s working to get more Black women involved in space travel.
